The Borough of Madison, NJ is located in southeast Morris County, about fifteen miles due west of Times Square. Madison borders on five other municipalities: the boroughs of Florham Park and Chatham are to the north and east; the townships of Chatham, Harding and Morris are to the south and west. The town has remained heavily rural despite considerable housing construction in recent years. Madison, New Jersey homes are estimated to have a population of approximately 15,460 residents.  Major highways traversing the borough are Interstate 78, and State Routes 24 and 124.

The Museum of Early Trades and Crafts has a whole collection of old farming tools and artifacts from the area. It is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 AM until 4 PM and Sunday from Noon until 5 PM. The museum is located at 9 Main Street (NJ Route 124 at Green Village Road).

The Hartley Dodge Memorial Building

 

The Hartley Dodge Memorial Building is a general office of the Madison counsel.  It is open during normal business hours. You can also participate in the many functions held in this building.

 

 

 

 



The Madison Public Library has a large variety of books and you will never become tired of the selection.  The library is open on Monday - Thursday from 9 AM until 9 PM, Friday from   9 AM until 6 PM, Saturday from   9 AM until 5 PM and on Sundays from 2 PM until 5 PM.
